About Elian’s British School of La Nucía

Elian’s British School is a bilingual school, which is a member of the IEP group of schools in Spain. It nestles in the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in the Costa Blanca area of the Valencia region. Our school has students aged between two and eighteen years-old. They are taught using tried-and-tested progressive methods practised in the UK and other parts of the world. The school timetable combines the best from the national curriculum used in Britain with the most important elements of the Spanish curriculum.

Our secondary section is for children typically aged between eleven and eighteen years-old. It is organised from Year 7 (11 to 12-year-olds) to Year 13 (17 to 18-year-olds). The English National Curriculum splits this into three stages: Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9), Key Stage 4 (Years 10 and 11) and Key Stage 5 (Years 12 and 13).

You can read more about our teaching approach on our school website.
